About Us

Alba is a nine bedroom guesthouse situated in the heart of Sliema. With a heated pool available most of the year for all our guests and a wide-variety of rooms to suit all needs. We pride ourselves in ensuring a clean and quiet environment to give you the perfect base for your stay in the Maltese Islands.

Alba is situated in a historic building and has been completely refurbished in 2025. Booking any room at Alba also gives access to our heated outdoor swimming pool, making it comfortable for most of the year though we cannot guarantee it will be open between December and February. We also have a basement space which is suitable for reading and working in quiet comfort.

All of our rooms have private bathrooms and are airconditioned. Our beds have high quality memory foam mattresses for a restful sleep. Some of our rooms have large terraces and two of them also have a hot tub. We offer family rooms which can accommodate up to four persons.

Breakfast is served in an attractive glass enclosed space overlooking the garden and pool though guests can enjoy breakfast in the garden too should they wish. Outside breakfast hours, we offer complimentary tea and coffee in the breakfast area. A water dispenser is also available for guest use.

All our rooms have double glazed windows to reduce energy transfer and provide a quiet environment. The rooms with windows or terraces overlooking the road also have an extra door or window to further improve sound insulation. We take our environmental footprint seriously and have a roof full of solar PV panels to produce as much as possible of our electricity sustainably. We avoid use of single use plastic containers throughout our property. Rainwater is collected in our large well and is used in the garden and outside areas.

Please be aware that there is no elevator in the property. Rooms 1 and 2 are on the ground floor. Rooms 3 to 6 are on the first floor while rooms 7 to 9 are on the second floor.
